Auburn Event: Earth Day 2019 Celebration of the Monarchs – Entry Deadline: Friday, March 15, 2019
Placer County artists in ANY medium, businesses, clubs and organizations are invited to enter our Earth Day sculpture contest, "Migrating through the Pages" that will be held at the Auburn Earth Day festival on April 20.
Partnering with Libraries and Friends of the Libraries groups of Placer County for this event, the Arts Council of Placer County presents to you a unique contest based on books.
Libraries will be providing used books of all types, and artists must use the book as an integral part of their sculpture, either utilizing the actual book, or the subject of the book.
Sculptures should be made of recycled, or earth-friendly materials, and creativity is encouraged. Entries must be self standing, with base being no more than 3' x 3', with a height restriction of 3'. Sculpture Only Enter just the sculpture contest only: $20 entry fee. Sculpture & Booth You may enter the sculpture contest and have a booth at the event where you can sell whatever you wish, with no additional fees: $40 entry fee.
