Loomis Event: 2nd Annual MandaRIDE Cycling Event
The Loomis Basin Education Foundation (LBEF) is hosting the 2nd annual MandaRIDE to support fine arts and technology programs in Loomis Basin elementary schools. LBEF’s mission is to enrich the education of students in the Loomis Union School District.
The ride, which includes a 12-mile, 30-mile, metric-century and guided family routes, will take place on Saturday, May 4 and will begin at Loomis Grammar School, 3505 Taylor Rd. in Loomis.
Registration for all distances begins at 7 a.m. The metric-century ride rolls out 7:30am, followed by the 30-mile ride will at 8 a.m., and the 12-mile ride at 8:15 a.m. The guided family ride will start at 8:30 a.m. All distances will begin at Loomis Grammar and roll along the backroads of the scenic Sierra Nevada Foothills.
Registration is currently open for all distances. Registrations fees are $80 for the metric-century ride, $50 for 30-mile ride, $25 for the 12-mile route and $15 for the guided family ride. The Metric Century and 30-mile routes will include a post-ride farm-to-fork lunch. To register, please visit MandaRIDE.com.
All riders are asked to register, sign a liability waiver and wear helmets. Children participating in the guided family ride must be accompanied by an adult. Minors must complete a minor’s waiver and have a parent/guardian signature.
