The Farm to Fork Dinner is Wellness Within’s Annual Summer Fundraiser and community event. Hosted at Loomis Basin Brewing Co., we highlight an al fresco dinner – Farm to Fork style! Attendees celebrate summer with a three-course meal crafted from fresh, organic food sourced from local farmers and enjoy family style service on the outdoor patio space at Loomis Basin Brewing Co.
Featuring Chef Laura Kenny Classically trained in San Francisco and proving her mastery of the kitchen at Boulevard, Laurel and the Persimmon Cafe, Laura uses her style of cooking simple, yet elegant foods as Chef and Owner of Real Food Catering in Auburn. She emphasizes a menu rich in locally raised and seasonal awesomeness and is co-author of two cookbooks that celebrate the abundance of farm fresh foods in the area: Placer County Real Food and The Art of Real Food. Both books illustrate how to use seasonal products that grow in Placer County and the surrounding areas.
Meet our fiddler Nick Righos, a musician with experience and background in classical violin, traditional old-time fiddle, swing and gypsy jazz. He is also an accomplished guitar player and has held past California State Contest Championship titles for Guitar Flat-Picking and Adult Fiddle. His music will be a nice addition to the evening.
