Loomis resident Matt Konar’s art career began in second grade when he’d draw pictures of WWII airplanes and sell them to friends for a nickel.
This 10th annual program brought high school students from across the region to the stage for a competitive performance that combined the spoken word and theater.

Granite Bay native Ali Futrell graduated with a degree in painting and a minor in design and technology from San Francisco Art Institute.
“I feel art is a powerful form of expression that connects us all,” shares Swerdlow. “Any emotion or experience can be communicated with art, I strive to use this to enhance people’s lives.”
