Forget Guinness. Our region is overflowing with a variety of flavor-packed stouts that are crafted locally with love. Grab a growler to go or post up for a pint and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in style. In no particular order…  

1. Ol’ Republic RESOLUTE London-Style Export Stout

Ol’ Republic RESOLUTE London-Style Export Stout

ABV: 6.7%

Aromas of chocolate and coffee abound in this gold medal-winning brew, with an underlying hint of earthy spice and dark dried fruits (figs and raisins). Full-bodied, with a medium sweetness, rich mouthfeel, and roasted malt notes, it’s delicious on its own or in ice cream floats.

This deep ebony brew with chocolate overtones is made with an abundance of oats to give it a smooth, creamy mouthfeel along with a gorgeous, fluffy head. A hint of roasted coffee comes through at the end for a great finish.

Historically known as a “milk stout” or “cream stout” and using lactose sugar as a sweetener, this particular recipe also uses cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, and sea salt, resulting in a chocolaty brew that’s good to the last drop.

This massive imperial stout utilizes a blend of Ethiopia and Honduras coffee beans, along with a heavy wallop of maple. Rich flavors and aromas of milk chocolate, cocoa, fresh roast, and sweet cream provide the palate with a harmonious flavor profile and thick, velvety mouthfeel.
