“The new year is a time of renewal. As people set goals for weight loss or self-improvement, smoothies are a great way to cleanse the digestive tract and nourish the body,” says Brigette Faieta, herbalist and owner of The Argonaut Farm to Fork Café in Coloma. And we couldn’t agree more. The recipes below are as delicious as they are nutritious. Simply add all the ingredients, blend till smooth, and enjoy!

Berry Dreamy

Somewhere between a blueberry milkshake and a banana smoothie, this drink’s bevy of healthy ingredients and dreamy texture will keep your tummy full and happy all day. 

1 cup cold almond milk

1 cup frozen berry trio

1 cup frozen banana

1 tbsp. raw flaxseeds 

*1 tbsp. collagen protein 

1 tbsp. almond butter

2-4 ice cubes, optional

*Make it vegan by subbing with hemp protein.

Pressed Juicery, Gingerbread Smoothie
