Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

Life Source, Inc. specializes in providing counseling services for individuals, couples and families. I launched the organization in 1987 with a vision to be a resource for people to find help and solutions for their relationships. We are recognized by many physicians, pastors, school counselors, and other professionals in the community for quality service. You may visit our Web site and my blog for helpful articles, including “Every Marriage Needs a Mulligan” and “The Parenting Trap,” as well as information about our services. You can also view my posts on Twitter @DrOEasterly.

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

Completing a master’s degree and doctor’s degree, which helped equip me to do what I do now.

Where do you go when the going gets tough?

When the going gets tough, it’s time to sharpen my focus, double my effort, clarify my vision, and do what needs to be done.

What’s your hidden talent?

I carve wood and do heirloom woodworking such as making cradles in preparation for the birth of my granddaughters. The twins’ cradle came to be known as the “double-wide!” I also discovered that I have a knack for designing and developing medical and psychological software.

What’s your biggest job perk?

Working with my great staff and serving the people of this community.

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

Fat’s Asia Bistro and Crush 29.

What’s your favorite childhood memory?

My mom’s Southern-style breakfast was a hit with the entire family. There were platters with eggs, bacon, fried chicken, biscuits and a bowl of gravy. I stopped eating that a very long time ago, but it’s fun to think about!

If you could be any other profession, what would it be?

I enjoy teaching, so being a university professor has always interested me.

And finally, customer service is…?

Providing a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere in a setting that is professional, caring and respectful.
