Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?
The Brain Balance Achievement Center of Rocklin helps children with learning difficulties, behavior issues, AD/HD, autism, Asperger’s syndrome and other neurodevelopmental difficulties. Our unique approach looks at the student’s sensory motor and academic ability to determine if the right- or left-brain is imbalanced. Once the team determines the imbalanced or weaker side of the brain, an individualized program is designed to strengthen it through physical exercise and academics. The third piece of our program is nutrition, which is vital for proper development. A nutritionist will design a specific regime for each student to address any imbalances or sensitivities. The Brain Balance program was co-founded by Dr. Robert Melillo, the well-known author of Disconnected Kids and the recently released Reconnected Kids. Since 1998, the program has helped thousands of children who struggle with behavioral and learning difficulties.
How are you involved with both the community and your customer?
As parents ourselves, we are very involved in local youth sports and activities. We are also members of the Rocklin Chamber of Commerce and have performed many free educational workshops for parents at local SELPAs (Special Education Local Plan Areas) and the Sacramento chapter of CHADD. We are an open resource to our students, families and the community. We provide a successful program for a portion of the population that doesn’t have many options. Brain Balance was the title sponsor for the “Miner’s Ravine Brain Balance Fun Run,” which was held in September at Roseville’s Sculpture Park. All proceeds from the event benefited the UC Davis MIND Institute for Autism.
And finally, customer service is…?
Ongoing! We will do whatever possible to help our students, their families and the community. This often means putting in extra time to find solutions, visiting school sites or homes, and making sure our services are optimally utilized at all times. When a student enrolls in our program, they become part of our family and we will be there for them every step of the way.
Do you know that our editorial is not paid for, nor can it be purchased? In fact, our Introducing and Dine reviews are not paid advertisements. If you’d like your business profiled, please email Wendy Sipple at firstname.lastname@example.org. Once we determine when your business will be featured, we will contact you to schedule a time to come out and take a photograph. Thank you!
