Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?
SAS Performance Training is a women-specific organization that strives to increase the number of girls and women who participate in endurance lifetime sports, such as triathlons, running, cycling and swimming. SAS recognizes the important role sports play in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, including increasing self-esteem in women and lowering certain health risks. SAS Performance offers affordable personalized coaching and training programs, clinics, group workouts and professional bicycle fitting. We offer beginning to advanced programs in relaxed, supportive and positive environments.
How are you involved with both the community and your customer?
We work closely with both Placer and El Dorado Counties to promote, encourage and recognize local female athletes. At SAS we recognize the achievements of local high school girls in lifetime sports through our student-athlete award program and our non-profit organization, Girls Get Geared. Additionally, each month we highlight local female athletes in the community by profiling their achievements through our Featured Athlete program. We believe that through recognizing the amazing accomplishments of local women, more women will be inspired to take on the challenge of trying an endurance sport and leading a healthier life.
Where do you go when the going gets tough?
On a long bike ride through the foothills up past Auburn where there are lots of hills to climb and fewer cars on the roads.
What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?
Skipolini’s in Rocklin followed by Icing on the Cupcake...perfect after a long day of training!
What’s your favorite local business other than your own?
New Balance at the Fountains in Roseville.
And finally, customer service is…?
Everything. We help our clients set challenging goals and give them the tools to reach them. As athletes ourselves, we know that personal individualized programs provide athletes with the best opportunity to succeed, regardless of what their goals are.
Do you know that our editorial is not paid for, nor can it be purchased? In fact, our Introducing and Dine reviews are not paid advertisements. If you’d like your business profiled, please email Wendy Sipple at email@example.com. Once we determine when your business will be featured, we will contact you to schedule a time to come out and take a photograph. Thank you!
