Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?
My photography business can best be described by two quotes: “The best lens you have is the one behind the camera,” and “You can’t take someone’s picture, they have to give it to you.” I strive to build a relationship and a unique image for every client. No two people are the same, so why should their photos be the same? I will never have a “mold” or “standard scene” like other photographers, who take every client picture in the same staged scene.
Photography found me in 2008 while I was on a path to a medical career and competing on a national tour racing downhill mountain bikes. I had a “quarter life crisis” and transferred to CSU Sacramento where I obtained my bachelor’s in photography. I have a fun, easygoing personality and am continuously looking for the next challenge; therefore, I knew working in the monotony of a cubical life would not be the best career choice for me.
How are you involved with both the community and your customer?
I have used my skill sets and photography to donate to many charities and organizations all over the state. To me, it’s about the relationships we create throughout life, and I will help if there is a good cause. During my racing career and even as it continues today, I have been fortunate enough to be on the receiving end of sponsors and help, so I understand the importance of a helping hand.
Why is your staff the best in the business?
We are always adapting to fit our clients’ needs and will always provide them with a unique image that is tailored to their every desire.
And finally, customer service is…?
Exactly that, customer service – the ability to give or provide what is wanted or needed by the client. The ability to transform into the perfect tool for the job is what sets studio5photography apart from all other photography companies.
