Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?
I’m the original founder of the business and we do promotion and sale of self-help books and related workshops, lectures and seminars. I’m a consultant and have written several books (Realizing Your Potential for Fulfillment and Happiness – A Guide to Personal Awareness and Understanding and A Unified Approach to Achieving Fulfillment and Happiness – A Guide to Self-Awareness and Understanding at Individual and Societal Levels), which are currently available on amazon.com and from the publisher at fulfillmentandhappiness.com. The books were motivated by my extensive first-hand consulting experiences over a period of 25 years. I worked with people under diverse and challenging conditions and recognized that there was a need for a fresh and new approach that could enable people to realize increased fulfillment and happiness. This is accomplished through a heightened sense of self-awareness – not from comparison to others. By this means, it’s possible to discern those factors that are under one’s control, contrasted with factors that one cannot do anything about.
What life accomplishments are you most proud of?
Being the author of the aforementioned books that embody a positive philosophy on realizing increased fulfillment and happiness; achieving significant education, organization and business milestones; and extensive involvement in community affairs.
Where do you go when the going gets tough?
To my inner self. On certain professional matters, however, I confer with my daughter, Dr. Margie Skeer, an expert in social science, who received her Doctor of Science degree from the Harvard School of Public Health.
What’s your hidden talent?
Playing the piano at a professional level.
What’s your biggest job perk?
Working from my home office.
What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?
Fat’s Asia Bistro in Roseville.
What’s your favorite local event that you go to?
Sacramento Jazz Festival.
If you could be any other profession what would it be?
Financial analyst and/or philosopher.
And finally, customer service is…?
Exceeding customer expectations.
