Raised in a family full of medical practitioners, it seemed almost a given for Patrick Brady to enter the health care profession.
“My parents just believed in serving people and helping out in the community,” he says. Brady’s desire to carry on his family’s legacy landed him in his current career as Sutter Roseville Medical Center’s CEO.
“I feel so fortunate every day to be able to come to an amazing and beautiful health care facility that’s state of the art, with amazing people who congregate to take care of other people,” says Brady. And Brady certainly has a right to be proud. During his 11-year tenure as CEO at Sutter Roseville, the facility has seen incredible changes. They’ve more than doubled their size from 168 to 313 beds, currently serve as the regional trauma center for a five-county area, and boast a superior cancer center and new neonatal intensive care unit.
Outside of work, Brady strives to help others as well. “At the ripe young age of 54, my wife and I decided to adopt a four-year-old and it has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences ever,” says Brady. “We tried for many years to have children and were unable to have our own; so, one day a few years ago, out of the blue, one of my wife’s friends called and said there’s a little girl who needs a home and asked if we wanted to meet her. I said we should at least meet her and that’s all it took.”
