Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?
Tuttimelon found us… and it’s a fun twist to frozen dessert. Healthy does not have to taste bland; your creativity is your only limiting factor as we have tons of toppings, 8 flavors of frozen yogurt and 24 flavors of gelato at any given time.
What was the first job you ever had, and what did you learn from the experience?
The first job my brother had was at McDonald’s and mine was at KFC. From our experiences at these respected jobs, we learned that above all, customer service plays a huge role in customer satisfaction. We learned in order to be successful we need to cater to our regulars. The “do whatever it takes” mentality to satisfy your customer is pivotal to the longevity of a business.
Why is your staff the best in the business?
Our staff is an extension of who we are as a company and as people. We strive for excellence. When a customer comes in our shop, they are met with a warm greeting. We try our best to give each customer samples so they know exactly what they are purchasing. We also do our best to educate customers about our products and the health benefits of consuming them.
Who is your role model in business or in life, and why?
My family. My parents came here from Vietnam during the turmoil of war in the late 70s with literally nothing and have assimilated into the American culture. They taught me that with sacrifice and determination, the impossible is possible. The wellbeing of my family keeps me motivated.
What’s your favorite childhood memory?
Going fishing with my dad. As a kid I used to hate waking up at the crack of dawn. Looking back, I always smile because it was always an adventure.
And finally, customer service is…?
A lifestyle. It is not something you can turn off or on. You can smell fake customer service from a mile away. We strive to go above and beyond to make the Tuttimelon experience a unique one.
Do you know that our editorial is not paid for, nor can it be purchased? In fact, our Introducing and Dine reviews are not paid advertisements.
