Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?
Pole dancing for fitness is the latest craze to follow Zumba. My passion is for teaching and my mission is to empower women through this unique form of dance that stimulates the senses, body and spirit. What was once considered an activity that people might associate with a gentlemen’s club is becoming the latest trend in whole body fitness. Ladies ages 18-80 have taken up pole fitness. Why? Because this fitness program is structured and easy enough for any and all levels of fitness. “A global community is building up a strong campaign to have pole dancing made an Olympic sport.” Vertical Fitness Studio is the ultimate in “one-on-one” pole dance instruction, where, regardless of the number of students, you get a personal trainer without the personal trainer price. Centrally located in Roseville, inside the Anti-Gravity School of Dance, our studio has plenty of space so you’ll never feel crowded. Unlike other programs, the Vertical Fitness routines are guaranteed to put a smile on your face. It’s a high-energy pole fitness program that takes dance to the next level with fun, fantasy and the ultimate personal fulfillment!
Why is your staff the best in the business?
I am nationally certified to teach Pole Fitness through the PDIC up to Level 6. I trained under the renowned Fawnia Mondey-Dietrich who came here from Canada in the 90s and turned pole dancing into a sport. I continue to better myself through attending workshops, seminars and competitions with the best trainers in the business.
What life accomplishments are you most proud of?
I am proud of the fact that I had the opportunity to attend Purdue University in Indiana and study exercise science.
What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?
Samurai Sushi – big portions and reasonably priced.
And finally, customer service is…?
Making sure to go that extra mile in each class so customers never leave the studio without a smile on their faces.
