Dining out for sushi, be it a lunch or a dinner meal, is one my favorite things to do.
Since sushi is something my mother and I both absolutely love, her weekend visit could not have started off better than our dining experience at Arigato Sushi in Roseville. Tucked nicely in between a shopping center, a few other restaurants, and The Galleria mall, the restaurant greeted us with a very busy crowd on this particular Friday night.
Although overwhelmed with customers, the hostess approached us with a welcoming attitude and ensured us our wait would not be long. Looking around the jazzy modern restaurant, my eyes caught the lighting that changed colors throughout the perimeter of the place, along with the well-dressed bar in the back of the establishment. People were mingling, having drinks and enjoying their meals; it was as most may think, a typical “Friday night” scene in a popular restaurant.
After being seated promptly, our eyes grazed over the wide variety of rolls, soups, salads and specials on the menu. To start off, I selected the Seaweed Salad and Miso Soup. The very tasteful salad accompanied by the popular Miso Soup met my taste buds with perfection. Finishing the last of my soup, the server returned and placed the eye-catching Howe Sushi Roll in front of me. The roll consisted of tuna, deep-fried shrimp, avocado and crab meat, all wrapped in seaweed and rice, topped off with masago and a special spicy sauce. After admiring my beautiful roll, I blinked and it was gone. My mother thought I had not eaten in days after witnessing how fast the roll disappeared. She also realized how quick I could be with chopsticks. The Howe Roll has “officially” been proclaimed as “my favorite sushi roll. With its combination of different meats and seasoning, its mildly spicy flavor made my dinner complete.
Arigato Sushi provides amazingly affordable specials offering up to 50 percent off all rolls. With a special like this, they may see me in their restaurant every day!
