Style congratulates Roseville photographer James Hayes of Enchanted Images on receiving seven awards at San Diego’s 2010 Senior Portraits Artist Event.

Save the date for the area’s annual Art Studio Trek, April 24-25. This year’s event will feature numerous local artists and studios and is sure to be a highlight for art lovers.

The community recently came together for one great cause: To provide shoes to victims of the earthquake in Haiti. The Roseville Sport Chalet donated more than 45,000 pairs of new or gently worn shoes to victims of the earthquake in Haiti as part of the Soles4Souls program. The donations came from area Boy Scout troops, schools and churches.

Built in 1912, Roseville’s Carnegie Library has been added to the National Registry of Historic Places, housing the city’s memorabilia.

Congratulations to Granite Bay Troop 121 scouts Colton Warburton and Meritt Thomas for earning top honors of Eagle Rank! Great job!

Congratulations to Whitney High School’s JROTC armed exposition team on their second place finish at the annual TITAN drill competition. Way to go!

Style congratulates the 2010 Farmer of the Year, Bryan Kaminsky, as named by PlacerGROWN at their recent Food and Farm Conference. Kaminssky is a 15-year Placer County farming veteran.

While Rocklin’s St. Patrick’s Festival will not include a parade this year due to expenses and possible inclement weather, other plans for the March 9-13 festival will remain intact.
