Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?
My business consists of teaching and training people in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, in order to enhance their lives with invigorating exercise and provide the gift of safety and self-preservation techniques.
How are you involved with both the community and your customer?
We do a lot of hands-on training, so our customers really absorb and learn the techniques that we teach. We want our customers to feel safe in a world affected by a bad economy. The crime rate is rising due to unemployment and the down economy, so we give people confidence and a peace of mind. We believe when the world is out of control, the only control you really have is yourself and how you feel about yourself. We help people get control of themselves, their self-confidence and their self-esteem. Plus – it’s a great weight loss program.
Why is your staff the best in the business?
We have a new approach to martial arts, and it has proven to work in competition. We produce champions – our students come home with top finishes and medals – so I can proudly say our training method is the best in the business.
