Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?
I’m pretty sure it found me...I remember shuffling furniture about once a month in my bedroom and also redoing my family’s living room furniture regularly when I was in middle school. My family never knew what they were going to come home to, but they were good sports about it. I’ve always had a huge love of all things to do with the house or outdoor areas – another extension of a home – so it seemed a natural transition for me in the design field. My businesses are all about full-service interior design, whether it is residential or commercial, new homes or remodeling. I also love staging homes and outdoor living spaces – whatever it takes to help clients feel more comfortable in their spaces.
How are you involved with both the community and your customer?
I am a partner with the Lincoln and Roseville Chambers as I feel they contribute a lot to the business/customer-based world we live in. I also like doing charitable fundraising – I’m currently helping with the MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association), which is headed up by Jerry Lewis. I also belong to a charitable/educational sorority that works each year to provide funds for various local charities. We get a lot of pleasure out of helping others in need.
What life accomplishments are you most proud of?
Raising two healthy, happy and well-adjusted children who have gone on to be successful in their own right. I am very blessed with wonderful children!
What’s your biggest job perk?
I really love helping clients feel good about the spaces in which they live or work.
What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?
I don’t even have to think twice – it’s Crush 29. I love the food, atmosphere and great service!
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
Golda Meir or Mahatma Ghandi because of the exemplary lives they led to help make things better for their own people.
And finally, customer service is…?
Absolutely critical, and my number one priority. I’m a happy camper when my clients are very satisfied with the project we’ve just wrapped up. I truly enjoy working with clients to help them achieve their vision, and customer service is a huge part of the successful process.
