Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?
My business is a consignment boutique specializing in fashionable clothing, accessories, jewelry and unique furniture at great prices, all while working with and supporting the local community. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do and I’m thrilled with my great location.
How are you involved with both the community and your customer?
We advocate the environmental motto: Reuse, Reduce and Recycle. As a consignment boutique we already reuse, and encourage our customers to bring their own bags – we even donate five cents to the charity, WEAVE, for each bag!
Why is your staff the best in the business?
We are a family-run business, committed to giving the best, friendliest service in a comfortable atmosphere.
Who is your role model in business or in life, and why?
My mum, she was a very strong, caring and proud woman who inspired my sister and I to reach for the stars while remaining strong, independent and charitable women.
What’s your hidden talent?
Seeing the potential in other people’s rejects, and then turning these into beautiful and reusable things.
What’s your biggest job perk?
Getting to meet new and interesting people everyday.
What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?
El Parian, a family-run Mexican restaurant in Roseville.
What’s your favorite childhood memory?
Any birthday growing up...my mum always made the whole day special and full of surprises!
What’s your favorite local event that you go to?
“Downtown Tuesdays Nights” in old Roseville. The live music is great, the cars are cool, the food is delicious and the farmers market has great fruits and veggies.
What’s your favorite local business other than your own?
The Tattered House – it’s an antique store in Old Roseville. It’s run out of an old house that is so full of character. I love the owners; they are friendly and welcoming, and it’s just a great place.
If you could be any other profession what would it have been?
An architect – I love the design of houses.
And finally, customer service is…?
Customer service is customer satisfaction. It’s offering a product or service to a customer while making their whole experience pleasurable.
