Husband and wife duo James and Stefani Hays of Enchanted Images have donated framed wall portraits of infants, mothers, fathers and siblings, which are now displayed in the Family Birth Center of Sutter Roseville Medical Center.

Congratulations to Granite Bay resident Molly Griffin on her acceptance to The Juilliard School in New York. She is one of 10 students from around the world who was accepted to attend this fall.

The Placer Land Trust recently awarded the “2009 Placer Conservator of the Year” title to Sierra College Professor Joe Medeiros, for his extraordinary efforts to conserve Placer County’s resources.

The Placer Community Foundation recently awarded $14,000 worth of grants to the following community arts organizations: Auburn Community Concert Association, Auburn Placer Performing Arts Center’s State Theatre, Placer Community Theater, Placer Theatre Ballet and Sierra College Foundation’s Chamber Music Alive series.

Sixty-five-year-old Lincoln Hills resident Judy Stoddard competed in the International Skating Institute World Recreational Team Championships in San Jose this past July – her very first competition. Way to go Judy!

Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.), an international women’s organization, recently awarded scholarships to four local high school graduates: Jasneet Baines from Woodcreek High School, and Amber Diller, Mallory Valenzuela and Monica You-Booth from Rocklin High School.
