Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

Designwerks Media is a Web, print and marketing firm, creating high-quality and innovative solutions while achieving our core mission of “evolving your brand.” We found each other; my path led me to Designwerks and everything just feel into place.

What was your vision when you first started your business, and what is it now?

My initial vision was to be a business where I could be creative and have a diverse service palette (TV, print, Web and radio); Now the same is true, however, we are more structured and involved in the community with new goals and bigger expectations.

What is the best part of doing business in this community?

Roseville and Sacramento are community-based cities, and being a part of that community through the Chambers and local events has been a very rewarding experience.

What was your first job, and what did you learn from the experience?

My first job was dish washing, which taught me the importance of the dollar, responsibility and what hard word truly is. As I’ve grown older I have refined my strong work ethic that I learned from that experience.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

The community is my customer as well as I am the customer of the community; we thrive off of each other and make our community a stronger and better place to live and work.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

We live by three principles passed down from my grandfather to my father to me: cooperation, coordination and communication. With talented people abiding by these rules and striving towards a common goal, we can accomplish any job.

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

I’ve always aimed to follow my heart and the dreams I set forth as a youth and into college. By plotting myself on a course to be successful and achieving what I’m motivated and talented at, I realize that money doesn’t matter.

Where do you go when the going gets tough?

To my easel and paintbrush.

And finally, customer service is…?

Without defining the term, it is providing 110 percent effort to a new or old client, going above and beyond their expectations, and expecting nothing in return.
