Home-Green-Home

We’ve all heard of ways to limit our carbon footprint. Some of us have implemented them: switching to energy-efficient light bulbs and appliances, turning the water off while we brush our teeth, and maybe even carpooling to work. This month, we offer 10 more easy ways to make your home a greener place by reducing, reusing and recycling. Mother (Earth) would be proud...

1. Forget paper towels and napkins.
The obvious choice would be to replace paper napkins with cloth ones, but here at Style, we’re always looking for ways to be different so we suggest using bandanas as napkins. They can be found for inexpensive prices at discount stores or army surplus stores, often in an array of colors to suit your décor. Around the house, try micro-fiber towels that grab onto dirt and come clean in the wash.
